9/6/2022 - The Eastern Broccoli Project is a multi-state project funded by the USDA-SCRI program. Led by Dr. Thomas Björkman at Cornell University, the project began in 2010 and just ended in August 2022. In the early years, the project included researchers from New York, Maine, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Oregon, and Tennessee. By the time the project ended, we had the whole east coast involved! Private industry partners were also very involved in the breeding and marketing aspects of the project. Many research abstracts and papers have been published from this project, and there are more to come. Today I want to highlight this new Extension bulletin on cooling methods for broccoli. It is available online and in print version through the University of Tennessee:
